المبادئ المستخلصة
ان مسألة دفع الدوطة هى من العادات الجارية عند بعض الطوائف المسيحية فى الشرق ولذلك يجوز الترخيص للقيم على شخص محجور عليه بأن يدفع لابنة هذا الأخير مبلغا من المال على سبيل الدوطة بشرط أن يخصم هذا المبلغ من نصيب البنت فى تركة والدها وذلك طبقا لعادات الطائفة التى تنتمى اليها .

HANNA BEY SABBAGH Interdicted person—Meglis Hasby—Christian communities of the East—Dowry—Curator—Authorization to pay dowry to daughter of interdicted person. As the settlement of a dowry is an established custom among certain Christian communities of the East, the curator of an interdicted person can be authorized to pay a sum of money, as dowry to the daughter of the interdicted person, subject to the condition, imposed by the customs of the community to which she belonged, that the amount of the dowry should be deducted from her share in her father's inheritance.

MINISTRE DE LA JUSTICE contre HANNA BEY SABBAGH. Interdit—Méglis Hasby—Communautés chrétiennes d'Orient—Dot—Curateur—Autorisation de verser une dot à la fille de l'interdit. La constitution de dot étant d'usage dans certaines communautés chrétiennes d'Orient, le curateur d'un interdit peut être autorisé de verser à la fille de l'interdit une somme d'argent à titre de dot, sous la réserve que le montant en sera défalqué de la part de succession revenant à la fille, conformément aux usages de la communauté dont elle relève.
